Manchester United welcome Burnley to Old Trafford on Saturday, August 30, in the Premier League. The Red Devils have endured an inauspicious start to the new season, and are yet to pick up a win so far.
Ruben Amorim has strengthened his attack over the summer by roping in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko. However, the Premier League giants have found the back of the net just once in two games in the league, and concerns about their goalscoring abilities refuse to go away.
Manchester United were also knocked out of the EFL Cup in the Second Round by League Two side Grimsby Town in midweek. Saturday's game against newly promoted Burnley will be a chance for the Red Devils to lay down a marker and improve the somber mood at the club.
Manchester United Team News
Manchester United will have almost the same pool to select from for this weekend's game. Ruben Amorim made eight changes in midweek for the EFL Cup tie, with Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro rested, and Casemiro an unused substitute on the bench.
Onana made his first appearance for the season, but it is unclear if he will keep his place in the team against Burnley. Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez remains sidelined for a while, although Noussair Mazraoui is making significant progress.
However, the Moroccan is unlikely to be available for Saturday's game. Joshua Zirkzee returned to action in midweek, which will be another boost to Amorim's plans. The Portuguese head coach has no other fresh injury concerns ahead of the game, which will be refreshing news.
Opposition Form
Burnley marked their return to the top tier of English football with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on opening day. However, the Clarets secured a 2-0 win over Sunderland last weekend.
Scott Parker's team fared better than Manchester United in the EFL Cup in midweek as well. Burnley overcame Derby County by a 2-1 scoreline to progress to the Third Round of the tournament.
Interestingly, the Red Devils are unbeaten against the Lancashire club in the last seven outings. The last meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw.
Predicted Starting XI

Manchester United desperately need to pick up their first win of the season this weekend, so Amorim is likely to put out his strongest team. After Onana's costly errors in midweek, he could be relegated to the bench for the game.
Harry Maguire had a decent outing against Grimsby Town, and could retain his place in the starting XI. All eyes, though, will be on the attack, where Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, and Matheus Cunha could start together for the first time.
Predicted Starting XI: Bayindir; Yoro, Maguire, De Ligt; Amad, Bruno, Casemiro, Leon; Cunha, Sesko, Mbeumo.
Predicted Score: Manchester United 2-1 Burnley
