Manchester United travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday, August 24, to face Fulham in the Premier League. Ruben Amorim's team arrive at the game on the back of the 1-0 defeat against Arsenal at Old Trafford last weekend.
The Red Devils showed significant improvement in performance against the Gunners, but were undone by a Riccardo Calafiori goal. Amorim will be eyeing his first win of the new campaign in his first away game this weekend.
Without further ado, let's look at the team news for the game.
Manchester United Team News
Manchester United have upgraded their squad over the summer, bringing in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, and Diego Leon. Cunha and Mbeumo started the game against Arsenal, and were quite impressive too.
Sesko was utilized off the bench in the second half, but with a full week's training behind him, the Slovenian will now be pushing for his first start for his new team. Meanwhile, Altay Bayindir started in goal against Arsenal, but Amorim has stated Andre Onana could be available for selection against the Cottagers.
However, the Portuguese head coach has confirmed that both Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui will miss this weekend's game as they work to regain full fitness.
Opposition Form
Fulham secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. Marco Silva's side won't make it easy for the Red Devils this weekend either.
Last season, Manchester United completed a double against the London side, winning both game in the Premier League by a 1-0 scoreline. Interestingly, Fulham finished 11th in the league, while the Red Devils finished 15th.
Predicted Starting XI
Amad was outstanding after replacing Diogo Dalot against Arsenal, and will believe that he has done enough to start this weekend. The Ivorian has been utilized in a right wing-back role by Amorim to good effect so far.
Meanwhile, Sesko got his first taste of the Old Trafford atmosphere off the bench last weekend. The 22-year-old will be raring to go against the Cottagers, so Amorim will have a decision in his hands.
These two may be the only chances to the starting XI that narrowly lost to Arsenal on Matchday 1. Manchester United could unleash their new attack for the first time from the start at Craven Cottage this weekend.
Predicted Starting XI: Bayindir; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Bruno, Casemiro, Dorgu; Cunha, Sesko, Mbeumo.

Predicted Score: Manchester United 2-1 Fulham
