Real Madrid are putting together final preparations ahead of their LaLiga game against Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena on Saturday, September 13. Los Blancos are leading the title race after three games this season.
Meanwhile, the LaLiga giants remain hot on the heels of a Premier League defender. Elsewhere, Celta Vigo have set their sights on Endrick.
On that note, let's look at the major Real Madrid transfer stories from September 12, 2025.
Real Madrid want Ibrahima Konate, says Fabrizio Romano
Real Madrid remain hot on the heels of Ibrahima Konate, according to acclaimed journalist Fabrizio Romano. The French midfielder is nearing the end of his contract with Liverpool, which expires in the summer of 2026, and his future remains unclear.
Los Blancos have been linked with Konate for a while. The LaLiga champions have picked up talented free agents in recent windows and now have their eyes on the 26-year-old.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, however, Romano added that the Reds are likely to try to tie Konate down to a new deal before the end of the season.
“Real Madrid have a genuine interest in the situation of Ibrahima Konate, but they don’t want to upset Liverpool. Liverpool will have the chance, for sure, in September, October, November, December – until the end of the season – to try and extend the contract of Ibrahima Konate," said Romano.
“Despite agreements between Liverpool and the player being very close one year ago, these conversations stopped because of new details being discussed. Real Madrid internally keep thinking of Konate.”
Los Blancos signed Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth to strengthen their backline this summer.
Celta Vigo eyeing Endrick
Celta Vigo are ready to sign Endrick on loan in January, according to Defensa Central. The Brazilian forward arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu last year as one of the best young talents from the country.
However, Endrick endured a difficult start to life in Spain, struggling to break into former manager Carlo Ancelotti's plans. His situation, unfortunately, looks unlikely to change following Xabi Alonso's arrival as the Italian replacement this summer.
With Kylian Mbappe the preferred choice for the No. 9 role, and Gonzalo Garcia proving to be an able understudy, Endrick's future now remains unclear. However, the 19-year-old isn't short of suitors, and Celta Vigo are ready to offer him a chance to continue his development in Spain.
The Galician club are even willing to pay half of the player's wages during a six-month temporary stay. Real Madrid are yet to make a decision on the player's future, with Endrick currently recovering from a thigh injury.
Los Blancos offered David Alaba €6m to leave this summer
Real Madrid were willing to pay David Alaba around half of his annual wages to leave this summer, according to Defensa Central. The Austrian defender's contract expires at the end of this season and he hasn't been offered a new deal yet.
Given that he is not part of Xabi Alonso's plans, Los Blancos apparently wanted to terminate Alaba's deal this summer by offering him a payout. However, the 33-year-old turned down the proposal as he wants to fight for his place in the team.
