“I just want to say sorry to our fans, I have nothing to say anymore about the performance. When everything is so important in our club and you try to do everything. You have come from pre-season, even Arsenal you lose the game but you are there, you are improving and you see the performance, but then reach this kind of game, when everything is so important in our club. And when you start a game like this… I think my players are talking really loud about what they want, so I’m really sorry to our fans, I have nothing to say anymore,” said Amorim.
Manchester United will have to get their act together quickly before their game against Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday, August 30, in the Premier League.

“In the end, the penalties don’t matter. After the game, the penalties if you win or you lose, the feeling [about the 90 minutes] should be the same. Let’s focus on the next game and then we have time to think about things. We have a lot of debts with our fans so let’s focus on the game. We have a job to do, a job to prepare and then we’ll stop and think things through,” said Amorim.
